Every photo tells a story. There’s one behind every photo. Sometimes it’s interesting and sometimes it isn’t.

This one doesn’t have much of a story. I was going on a walk, not knowing what I will take photos of, if anything at all.
It’s hard to be inspired by the area I see every day and where I walk around almost every day. Where I have to look really hard to see changes that inevitably happen from day to day.

Macro photography makes it much easier because changes happen slowly when looking at the whole valley, but happen faster looking at the minute things.

While walking around in the early morning, I was looking for anything that would catch my eye. I remember it took me a long time to spot to find or even notice this butterfly. I remember being really excited because I never managed to photograph a live one. I also knew I had a good chance of getting close enough because it was quite a cold morning. Making it somewhat lazy.

I tentatively approached it and took a number of photographs. This is my favorite one. Mainly because of the sharpness of the wing.
